Associate Logistics Technician

Orrville, OH

Moog Flo-Tork is a premier manufacturer of pneumatic and hydraulic rack and pinion rotary actuators.  For more than 50 years, Moog Flo-Tork has been offering rack and pinion actuators with the broadest torque range in the industry and was the first to design rack and pinion actuators for use in steel mills, oil refineries, and natural gas compressor stations. 

During a day in the role of Shipping and Receiving Utility Person you might…

·         Package and prepare products for shipment per written and/or verbal instructions; includes coordination and scheduling delivery with trucking companies

·         Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries

·         Maintain and utilize various logistics programs, as well as basic communication software including email and messaging

·         Ensure proper labeling and packaging to comply with contractual requirements; appropriate documentation completion before and after shipments

·         Communicate and interact with personnel from all departments

·         Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment

·         Safely operate packaging tools and machinery such as bag sealer, nail gun, table saw, and radial arm saw

·         Drive company vehicle to suppliers for drop off/pick up of hardware at vendor for processing

·         Maintain traceability of materials, including verifying that material matches vendor documentation and marking materials with trace numbers

·         Assist other areas including painting hardware, industrial actuator assembly and test procedures, and stocking or picking parts in stockroom

 

You may be a good fit for this role if you have…

·         A High School diploma or formal training equivalency  (required)

·         Valid driver’s license (required)

·         Strong computer literacy

·         The ability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift, as well as the ability to lift 60 pounds throughout the day

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Ability to work independently
