As the Systems Project Engineer in the Growth and Innovation team within AG, you are responsible for the development of Energy Storage and Power Management systems to be offered by Moog, Inc. You’ll plan and conduct efforts requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. At Moog, our Systems Project Engineers devise new approaches for various problems encountered. 

Here’s what to expect on a day to day basis:
  • Key contributor to the requirements development, analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control hardware and software used for ESS and EPDS systems.  
  • Operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other Department engineers, with your primary focus being System or Component performance and integration
  • Coordinate the work of Drafters, Technicians, Design Analysts, Engineers and others who assist in specific assignments as needed
  • Consult with customers and internal business leaders, establish the problem statement, conceive of potential hardware solutions to the problem, often through extensive trade studies, and then create a successful technical proposal
  • Guide the evolution of the requirements and the conceptual design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing

To be considered for this position you’ll need the following: 

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree and 6+ years of Design / Development Engineering experience. Alternatively, Master’s Degree and 3+ years of Design / Development Engineering experience
  • Energy Storage and Power Management System development experience preferred
  • Experience with cross-functional Engineering Development teams
  • Seasoned knowledge of closed-loop control systems, energy storage technologies,  and mechanical/electrical hardware designs
  • Strong communication skills with self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills
  • Requires occasional travel and the organization of presentations to customers
