Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Systems Architect (Enterprise). We are looking for a technical problem solver who is patience, diligent and is determined to dive in.  We will look for you to facilitate a circle of architecture across the systems within our four Operating Groups.

As the Systems Architect (Enterprise), you will define IT architecture strategy for business, data, application, and technology domains covering one or more lines of business.  You will serve as the technical project leader on major applications development, enhancement and implementation projects.  You will be working directly with Principal Architects, business and IT leaders throughout the Operating Groups, as well as oversee technical staff to ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with overall enterprise architecture strategy.


Here’s what you’ll work on:

  • Strategically synthesize, design, and implement information systems and architectures to support core organizational functions.
  • Produce application and system documentation, complex program specifications for the organization
  • Provide technical leadership on projects with an extremely high degree of complexity
  • Provide regular coaching and instruction to peers and junior staff related to architecture and technology
  • Set work quality standards for themselves and other people performing functions at all levels within IT
  • Manage relationships with vendors and outside resources relative to achieving role goals
  • Conduct analysis and communicate business impact of IT architecture selections
  • Monitor adherence to corporate standards in application design, development and testing

Here are the skills you will bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc…)
  • At least 7 years of progressive related experience in software application development and administration involving manufacturing, financial, engineering, and/or marketing applications
  • An advanced level of it systems knowledge, a working knowledge of project management, and a detailed level of business acumen
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills, and be able to work effectively within a team and inspire team members
