Our Industrial Group in Blacksburg, VA is hiring for a Software Developer, this role is responsible for developing software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapting code to new architectures, or enhancing functionality. Additionally, the Software Developer will assist in systems testing, developing specifications, and providing post-implementation support. The Software Developer is required to provide timely status reports to their supervisor in the Information Technology department.

What you can expect day-to-day:
Essential Position Functions
• Capable of developing and integrating complex business applications in a Microsoft environment.
• Analyzing software environments to recommend and plan the installation of new software or modifications of an existing software code base.
• Develop, test and implement new software programs.
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
• Design and update software databases.
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.
• Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Work within an Agile development environment.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others.

What You’ll need...
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or minimum of 5 years professional Software development experience.
• Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
• Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.
• Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of modern software development.
• Experience working on a variety of software development projects.
• Deep programming language knowledge.
• MS Tech stack .Net, C#, SSMS, Visual Studio, Word, Excel.
• Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• The desire to work in fast-paced environment.
• Creativity is always a plus.
• General experience with ERP, CRM, PLM and manufacturing business processes is desirable.
• Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
• Angular, Azure, API, and Version Control.
