Moog Medical Devices Group designs, manufactures, and distributes industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through investment in research & development and relying on our vast expertise, we design and develop advanced infusion systems that improve medication safety, optimize application performance and reduce medical expenses.

 
 

We are currently seeking an IT Site Manager to provide leadership, vision, direction and management to the IT department. He/She will be responsible for all aspects of information technology management and governance at the site level.  Also has overall responsibility for providing a robust, reliable and highly-available technology infrastructure to the site while working within corporate parameters.   Serve as primary liaison between the business and IT to provide technical solutions to solve business requirements.  May be a member of the Site Management Team.

 

This position is responsible for assuring that the company has the research and engineering capability to design, develop and sustain the products needed to meet the company’s strategic objectives by ensuring the R&D organization has the engineering disciplines, competency, and systems required to achieve our objectives.

 
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 

Ensure the integrity and security of the technology network.

  • Serve as scrum master for information technology projects by applying Scrum principles, practices and theory.
  • Ensure department projects are completed within budget and on time, either directly or through delegation to staff.
  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progre3ss and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing.
  • Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with the team.
  • Build strong relationship with stakeholders, application users, product owners and members of our program management office.
  • Manage warranties, terms, costs, maintenance and conditions for technology equipment.
  • Write and revise site information technology plans, procedures and policies as required to maintain compliance.
  • Communicate information technology status and issues to the Group Director and/or Site Leadership team as appropriate.
  • Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management.
 

Management of the Information Technology Department.

  • Identify personnel requirements.
  • Hire, train, and develop a team of IT professionals with the appropriate skill set to support our business.
  • Identify training needs of team to ensure future competency and success of the each team member and other department.
  • Coach and develop team members as required to ensure their responsibilities are carried out with the highest level of competency and performance and to foster innovative thinking.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the day-to-day technical support activities, including troubleshooting, customer service issues, approvals and installations.
  • Measure, monitor and maintain team’s ability to meet or exceed contact and resolution Service Level Agreements (SLA).
 

Provide the correct technology solution to satisfy business unit requirements.

  • Assist business unit managers and employees in correctly identifying the business requirement.
  • Provide leadership in delivering technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionalist, performance, scalability and reliability.
  • Make recommendations to management regarding technology solutions to best support business requirements.
  • Based on decisions made by management, implement correct technology solutions to business requirements.
 

Miscellaneous

  • Monitor user access and activity as needed.  Provide necessary feedback to management.
  • Monitor technology systems and take appropriate action as necessary to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Assist in providing strategic planning for infrastructure and IT applications using emerging technology.
  • Assist in keeping corporate shared services accountable to meeting the needs of this site.
  • Implements network security at the regional level as established by corporate Information Technology.
  • Ensure that end user training is completed to ensure full compliance with information technology policies and procedures. 
  • Work with outside consulting teams adding software programs to our current network, to ensure user interface capabilities and functionality, and to ensure compatibility with current software programs.
  • Ensure new/modified hardware and software has been tested and has passed corporate guidelines and policies before being implemented.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational leadership and staff.
  • Complete training in a timely manner.
 
 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree  in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related discipline from a four-year college or university and/or 6 years experience in IT management role; or 8 years related IT experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). 
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred, or commitment to obtain it within the first 12 months of employment.
 
 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in managing projects and budgets utilizing both waterfall and agile methodology
  • Experiencing in managing and IT team and a Help Desk
  • Experience in systems/network administration
  • Advanced knowledge of data communications networks, information processing, computer architecture and management information systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft-based computer platforms and networks, industry standard IT procedures, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls and routers.
  • Substantial experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server relational database management systems, fourth-generation report-creation tools and data warehouse principles and methodologies. 
  • Working knowledge of programming techniques and languages. 
  • Proficiency with software applications, including Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to keep current with technology developments and use that knowledge to make changes to existing systems.
  • Analytical skill to evaluate complex technical problems, formulate options and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance technical and interpersonal skills of team-based staff and evaluate performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, change-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Results oriented with a sense of urgency for user satisfaction.
  • Provide a positive, professional, empathetic and customer-focused demeanor.
