Moog Aircraft Group is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to prepare product for shipment to, and to receive material from, customers, vendors, and subsidiaries.  This position is located at our aerospace facility in Torrance, CA.

Here's what you’ll be working on: 
 
  • Prepare product for shipment to and receives material from customers, vendors, and subsidiaries.

  • Knowledgeable in all transaction screens required to create shipments and receipts, generate receiving documents, perform inquiries on purchase orders and sales orders, and make necessary modifications and corrections.

  • Familiarity with the UPS "Maxiship" and Federal Express "Powership" systems is required.

  • May be asked to process repairs and outside services.

  • Interface daily with Materials personnel, Assembly and Test, Sales, Contracts, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Engineering.

  • May assist the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor or Shipping/Receiving Coordinator in training new personnel.

  • Physically, the job demands that the Shipping/Receiving Clerk be on his/her feet constantly and be able to lift materials and containers up to 35 pounds.

  • Proper packaging and handling techniques are required to prevent damage to parts and product.

  • Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) and Hazmat training is required.

 

Basic (Minimum) Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse and shipping/receiving experience

  • Forklift experience

  • Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
 

Preferred Qualifications Include: 

 
  • Some college coursework

  • Forklift certified

  • Experience in the Aerospace or other regulated industry

  • Trained and able to operate a wide range of material handling and packaging equipment on a daily basis, including: pallet jacks, forklifts, vans, and 20' box truck, foam machines, heat sealers, and table saws. 

  • Proficient with computer applications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
