Senior Systems Engineer – Integration and Test

Moog is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for our growing Systems Engineering department. In this role, you will provide direction and guidance for integration and test campaign development and engineering. You will use your expertise in requirements development and flow-down to devise verification solutions for high performance systems. This position is located in East Aurora, NY.

As a Senior Systems Engineer – Integration and Test, you will…

  • Provide proactive updates against commitments; and status deliverables and cost/schedule/risk metrics
  • Provide direction and guidance for system level integration and test campaigns
  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems for root cause; Identify and implement accurate solutions in a dynamic work environment
  • Be responsible for generating design artifacts, including:
    •   System architecture,
    •   Design requirements,
    •   Validation and verification plans,
    •   Test and analysis reports
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for Moog management, customer representatives, and suppliers
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to a systems engineering team and/or cross-disciplinary engineering team working on flight control actuation technology and/or integration of flight control actuation systems
  • Operate as a lead technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals
  • Travel 10-25%: to other Moog sites and customer sites (primarily US based)

 Minimum Qualifications to be considered…

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer or Systems Engineering
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the field of System Engineering
  • Project Engineering leadership experience
  • Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US

Preferred Qualifications Include…

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, or Systems Engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Experience in the design and development of flight control actuation systems (FCAS) is a plus
  • Experience leading a system level integration and test campaign.
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Test experience with electric/hydraulic driven systems.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of incorporating high standards of safety and reliability into the design of aircraft control systems
  • Experience in requirements management, modeling/simulation methods and control system design
