As a Senior Systems Engineer in Moog’s Corporate Group you will be responsible for the design, procurement, development, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and projects critical to Moog’s global operations. It is essentially a project engineer for internal the Moog information technology service organization, with a specific focus on applications software for engineering systems, business systems, communications systems, network systems, and web Information systems that are used to support all aspects of the business and the underlying hardware platforms

What you can expect day-to-day:
1. Work independently to manage and execute all aspects of technical projects within the domain of the system responsibilities.
2. Attain optimum usage of computing resources through an effective system process that includes evaluation, design, installation, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
3. Available on call 7x24x365 for troubleshooting of critical systems. This is done to maintain a high level of system availability by monitoring daily performance of the various computing systems with the applicable software tools. Evaluate and recommend additional architecture and monitoring tools when deemed necessary.
4. Installation and maintenance of complex desktop, server, and/or network systems.
5. Responsible for keeping critical computer systems on line and usable. Demonstrate advanced problem solving skills, applying their learning and experience to even the most difficult technical challenges.
6. Adapts new computer systems technology to the Moog network environment as required. Develops implementation schedules.
7. Sets and adheres to Moog standards for computer hardware & software selection and participates in the IT organization's activities to develop new Moog standards as industry standards develop.
8. Assure continuity in computer processing in the event of a disaster by maintaining a back-up system that can be used at an off-site location.

You’ll need...

Typically a four year bachelor of science (BS) college degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of eight (8) years’ of Progressive Experience in operating systems, software applications support, and/or technical systems administration.

Experience with Windows Server 2016, VMWare, & Active Directory
