Job Summary

Moog are looking for a Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager to join our business. This role can be based at either our site in Wolverhampton or in East Aurora in North America. As a result, we are positioned today on virtually every aircraft in the marketplace, supplying reliable systems that are highly supportable and add significant value for our customers. In this role, you will have global accountability for standardization, standard work for governance and control of the overall SIOP process and sub processes. These processes balance demand, operations, supply chain and inventory needs to maximize current constraints and identify resources required. Execution of these planning processes is critical to the success of the product build and delivery value stream now and out to the strategic time frame.

  • Lead the development of processes that balance supply chain, operations, inventory and demand planning to the best achievable outcomes.
  • Develop operational plans that will maximize the use of our constrained resources both internally and externally.
  • Identify resources required by the business to meet its objectives from the Operational (here and now) time frame to the Strategic (5yr out) time frame.
  • Standardize processes across the operating group that proactively identify gaps between manufacturing plans and customer demand. These processes will define actions that bridge these gaps.
  • Own group wide demand management processes, as these are key to SIOP balancing.
  • Manage SIOP processes that are critical to operating group quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Develop and deliver training and be responsible for installing key process indicators so to ensure the consistent application of processes, behaviors and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for auditing processes across the group to ensure behavior and performance at the highest standard
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of manufacturing/operations, engineering or business
  • Progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of Material Management or Demand Management
  • Experience should include a progressive understanding and track record of process implementation/utilization and the associated tools.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal / organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex regulations/procedures
  • Experience in a matrix based organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • International and domestic travel required
