The Aircraft Group is looking for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer has sole responsibility for the planning, implementation, and administration of cost effective Quality Programs to assure that a system is in place which will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. The Quality Engineer must assure optimum utilization of manpower resources in achievement of corporate and divisional production objectives.

Here’s what you’ll be working on day to day:

You will be responsible from the inception of new programs through to production of programs. This will include working with engineering to review designs, contracts reviews, writing quality requirements documents, working on the qualification units being produced, determining how much inspection is required and setting other production parameters. During design and qualification, you will lead PFMEA’s and establish quality inspection plans for new programs. Once a program is up and running, you will monitor and oversee your program on a day to day basis. You may be involved in issues, or root cause corrective actions. You will work with customers and potentially suppliers on Non-Conformance issues, and prepare FAA/Customer Reports.

We'll be looking for you to have the following: 
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Statistics with 3 - 10 years’ experience preferred.
  • Statistical background, including SPC
  • Exposure to and experience with coordinated measuring machines
  • Experience in aerospace systems and/or high performance control systems preferred
  • Training and Experience in LEAN is preferred
  • Root Cause corrective training
