MoogS3 is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in Northbrook, IL to perform varied technical tasks requiring the creative application of engineering concepts, statistical methods, and Quality Technology.  You’ll work on non-routine problems such as product improvement studies, process improvement studies and development of new systems and procedures which are broad in scope and impact the company across divisional boundaries.



  •  Inspection and quality planning activities requiring the development of traceability plans and control of associated documentation.
  • Assure compliance with contractual issues for complex programs and flow-down of contract requirements to suppliers and appropriate Moog disciplines.

  • Conduct failure analysis by utilizing organizational, technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills.

  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Vendors, Customers, and Engineering disciplines.

  • Prepare quality assurance proposals and related cost estimates.

Here's what you'll need to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and three years’ experience, two of which must be in Quality Engineering. Proficient user of various statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages.

  • Mastery of military specifications most frequently encountered in quality programs.

  • Proven statistical methods background to develop unique solutions to continuous improvement and process monitoring problems.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.
