Moog, Inc. is hiring for a Program Director, Aerospace & Defense ERP in East Aurora, NY.


The Program Director, Aerospace & Defense ERP is an integral part of the team delivering a next-generation ERP solution based on SAP S/4HANA for our Aerospace and Defense business, and corporate office. You are accountable to the ERP steering committee and the scope of your duties will extend to all A&D areas and business sectors of Moog Inc., globally. This program will span sites across the US, UK, and the Philippines.


As the Program Director, Aerospace & Defense ERP, you are…

  • Responsible and accountable for executing the global development and rollout of SAP S/4HANA for Moog’s Aircraft and Space & Defense Groups. Multi-year (5-10) year program, and estimated cost of $100-130 million.
  • Directly oversee the duties and responsibilities of individuals, including several associate and senior project managers.
  • Managing the program schedule / roadmap, budget, resources, risks, communication, planning, and suppliers.
  • Responsible for structuring the execution of multiple, inter-dependent projects to optimize speed and value creation
  • Regularly and clearly communicate program status to the steering committee and executive sponsors, and identify risks and roadblocks that need to be addressed
  • Ensure alignment of the program to targeted business outcomes
  • Help to identify opportunities and requirements to transform the operating model of our businesses to ensure value creation
  • Provide expert level project management practices and act as a subject matter expert to all stakeholders associated with the program.
  • Aligning with the Global Process Director, as a peer, who is responsible for the SAP solution in a “two-in-the-box” format.


A successful candidate will have…

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business or related field and 8+ years of direct experience working on large projects
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale enterprise software projects, required.
  • Knowledge of scaled agile methodology
  • Knowledge of SAP, highly preferred
  • Manufacturing background/experience, highly preferred
  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience, helpful
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Ability to bridge across teams and lead change.
