Moog Inc. in Blacksburg, VA is looking for an inventive and ambitious team member that is capable of training, motivating and coaching employees in a team based environment.

 

Here is what you can expect in this role:

  • Responsibilities would encompass meeting customer quality and schedule requirements
  • Identifying, developing, tracking and communicating performance metrics for the department
  • Provide quality coaching and administrative support for the employees to develop and improve their expertise
  • Mesh technical expertise with prior experience to create a Quality Improvement Process to build an environment leading to success for you and the team

Here’s what you’ll need to be considered:

  • An Associate’s degree is required, with preference for those who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business related field
  • Prior leadership experience is required, with a preference of those who have supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to initiate and lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean tools for waste elimination and improvement, 6S, Quality, and performance
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience using computer-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a preference in the usage of LN
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to contribute to the overall effectiveness of a team
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle daily multi-tasking and possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Prior experience in a motor or slip ring manufacturing environment is a plus
