This position can be based out of the following Moog sites: East Aurora NY, Torrance CA, Mountain View CA, Chatsworth CA, Tempe AZ, Northbrook IL.


Moog, a manufacturer of highly precise motion control systems, has grown steadily over the years both organically as well as through acquisition and is now a two and a half billion dollar, complex company with 14,000 employees globally at over 100 sites.

Moog’s Aerospace and Defense (A&D) operating groups are collaborating on a global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) program. This multi-year journey will consist of numerous projects focused on a global enterprise wide re-implementation of our PLM solution, the Siemens Teamcenter system. We are looking for people to identify, evaluate and document requirements for business process change, ensure these requirements are translated into effective solutions, and provide process support to PLM users throughout the business.


Overview of the role…

  • You will be part of a technically challenging, global implementation of Teamcenter, which will interface with ERP and other systems. You’ll have a direct influence on the processes and technology your engineering and other business colleagues will use to design, build and maintain Moog’s world class products
  • Responsible for translating business and functional requirements into specific PLM technical requirements, solutions, applications, or process designs for moderately complex solutions and integrating architecture
  • Owns and extends the existing data model taxonomy, design, and architecture based on project needs
  • Provides direction for data model alignment, plan, build, test, validation, and deployment activities 
  • Works on projects requiring a solid overall understanding of Siemens Teamcenter BMIDE, change processes, and data flow from and to other business and engineering systems such as mechanical and electrical computer aided design, manufacturing execution systems, quality management systems, and enterprise resource planning
  • Responsibilities typically include working closely with the business to understand processes and implement effective business process solutions, owning the technical content of the solution and design specifications, validating solution configurations, manage unit testing, and acting as an advisor to the team supporting customer user acceptance testing and deployment activities

Responsibilities

  • Configuring items, datasets, naming rules, lists of values, etc. using Siemens Teamcenter BMIDE (Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment)
  • Develop and maintain Teamcenter workflows collaboratively with the business including overall design and workflow handlers
  • Work as part of a larger development and process team to coordinate efforts and execute on projects
  • Configure and maintain Change Management module including workflow updates as required
  • Documenting processes and best practices for Teamcenter for End Users and Administrators 
  • Advise technical program team on solution, size, and scope of projects on the PLM roadmap

Minimum Qualifications

  • A four year bachelor of science (BS) degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in Teamcenter application use, development, and support; 
  • Working knowledge of the Teamcenter Unified Architecture administration is required including the use of multi-site collaboration, ADA, volume services, dispatcher, and translation services; 
  • Experience with Teamcenter installations, third party integrations, and BMIDE schema changes, and deployment is required; 
  • Proficient English skills, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus 
  • Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident of the US (Green Card holder). 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Active Workspace and/or experience customizing Teamcenter using ITK, C/C++/Java, and/or Eclipse; 
  • Experience working with requirements management; 
  • Specific experience in a design, product, or manufacturing engineering environment;
