The Lead Analyst – Aircraft Command Center’s primary objective is to enhance existing processes that allow for understanding and rapid response to delivery and quality issues.  This includes leading and managing problem solving analysis, providing solution recommendations, and troubleshooting across purchased and manufactured parts.  Based upon situational analysis, revises system data (e.g., MBS or equivalent, Rapid Response, Significant Issue Application, etc.) real time to avoid unnecessary delays in handing off this transactional work.  Leads and manages status meetings, coordinates information flow and assists in communicating to the Program Office the overall delivery performance and significant delivery problems which will impact hardware deliveries to the end Customer.

 
Accountabilities:
 
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning System related to piece part planning and end item delivery schedules to successfully coordinate resolution of delivery problems immediately and through collaboration with others
  • Demonstrates decision making authority and influencing skills to adjust part processing direction or instruct others to minimize schedule slip with respect to the Production (Master) Schedule
  • Chairs daily/weekly part coordination meetings across manufacturing sites / suppliers. Coordinates information flow including files and visualizations
  • Assists in facilitating speedy resolution to part non-conformances by engaging Quality Assurance in part disposition
  • Recognizes significant problems that cannot be resolved through normal actions and elevates notice to mitigate risk and impact to the end item delivery requirements
  • Develops and implements processes, to allow escalation of issues to the home site functional Managers
  • Monitors part fabrication and supply chain processes, escalating issues in the process to the home site functional Manager(s). Challenges changes to delivery plans and exhausts all potential options to recover schedule
  • Develops and improves Command Center standard work documentation.  Assists Command Center Process Leaders in meetings, developing and improving standard processes, metrics, etc.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related area; with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Materials, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing / Product Engineering, Information Technology, or a Supply Chain discipline.
  • May be required to cover additional shifts (1st and 3rd shift are the primary preferred shifts) in order to correspond with the time zones for the Aircraft Group manufacturing sites and Supply Chain providers.
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal / organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex regulations/procedures
  • Experience in a matrix-based organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter; Self-motivated and self-directed individual
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies; Ability to build and sustain strategic working relationships inside of Moog
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Approximately 10-15% Travel / Non-traditional hours
  • Ability to relocate to East Aurora, NY
 

Additional Desired Skills: 

 
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Industry and Discipline Certifications, (e.g., APICS, C.P.M., PMP, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in Lean processes / Data Analytics preferred
  • Additional training a plus.  For example, Facilitative Leadership, Meeting Facilitation, Relationship and Team Building, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Lean Process, Data Management, etc.
