The solutions architect is accountable for analyzing existing business capabilities and processes at Moog’s sites by proactively and holistically leading activities to continuously improve and/or create new capabilities to achieve targeted business outcomes. Solutions include systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.  You will work closely with site leadership teams and enterprise IT to develop and oversee execution of investment programs to achieve business objectives.

  • Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture

 
You’ll be expected to take on the following…
 
  • Design and lead the implementation of a solutions architecture across the operating group’s applications or technologies based on the enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements

  • Provide consulting support to business process owners, project managers and business analysts to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture

  • Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements

  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision

 
To be considered for this position you’ll need the following…
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, System Analysis or a related study

  • At least 7 years of progressive related experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations

  • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt

  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments

 

Ideal requirements include:

 
  • Organizationally savvy, with a good understanding of the enterprise’s political climate and how to understand the long-term and short-term perspectives of situations

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation

  • Understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models

  • Knowledge of financial models and budgeting

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment   

  • Experience with SAP ECC7, SAP S/4 HANA, and/or Siemens Team Center
