Moog, Inc. is hiring for a Global Business Process Director, Aerospace & Defense ERP in East Aurora, NY.  In this role, you will be an integral part of the team delivering a next-generation ERP solution based on SAP S/4HANA for our Aerospace and Defense business, and corporate office. You are accountable to the ERP steering committee and the scope of your duties will extend to all A&D areas and business sectors of Moog Inc., globally. This program will span sites across the US, UK, and the Philippines.

As the Global Process Director, Aerospace & Defense ERP, you will… 
  • Lead a team of business process owners, subject matter experts, and technical resources in the design, development, and validation of a sound ERP solution for the Aircraft Group, Space & Defense Group, and corporate office, based on SAP S/4HANA and related products.
  • Be responsible for aligning the ERP solution to the overall business process hierarchy across the program, making scope decisions (what’s in, what’s out), and ensuring all related documentation and training material is produced as appropriate.
  • Establish the global view of our aerospace & defense business architecture, with all supporting material and documentation.
  • Be responsible for engaging with the senior leadership teams from across both groups and corporate office to capture business requirements, and build an optimized ERP solution
  • Be responsible for breaking ties and looking across process areas to ensure alignment to targeted outcomes for the program
  • Understand legacy IT environment and business needs and ensure the new solution design facilitates a transition to our new business platform in a manner that is as smooth as possible, while limiting solution and program risk
  • Sign-off of traceability of processes to user-stories / development, to test scripts
  • Provide guidance to global business process owners (BPOs) through design sprints, and review critical design documents to ensure a sound, well-connected product is built
  • Directly oversee the duties and responsibilities of our global business process owners
  • Align with the ERP Program Director, as a peer, who is responsible for project execution (e.g. schedule, budget, resource plans, supplier management, communications, risks, etc.) in a “two-in-the-box” format. 

We'll be looking for you to have the following as Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology related field or in manufacturing operations or supply chain
  • Strong general knowledge of IT business systems
  • Extensive experience architecting, designing, developing, and testing a broad scale of business processes through ERP programs, with SAP S/4HANA specific knowledge strongly preferred
  • Global manufacturing industry experience required (A&D preferred)
  • Experience working in a project-oriented company 

We expect that you’ll need 15+ years of total business experience, with a strong foundation in ERP systems, manufacturing, and leadership.  MBA or other graduate education is also highly preferred.
