Functional Electronics Inspector
- Responsible for and capable of the evaluation of purchased hardware and outside supplier processing through dimensional and visual inspection of electronic components, subassemblies and assemblies.
- Take precaution against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and will perform inspection to a set of industry standards such as: IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-A-620. The inspector will also review and approve supplier submissions of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports.
- Detailing and documenting hardware conformances using TIPQA software
- Initiating discussions with Buyers, Product Engineers, Quality Engineers, suppliers, etc., to resolve issues as they relate to nonconforming hardware, documentation, etc.
- Maintaining electronic storage of supplier documentation
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years in electronics assembly and/or inspection
- Over one year working in an ESD environment
- Demonstrated comfort using computers and business systems
- IPC-A-610 certification with J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 a plus
