Moog is looking for a Facility Operations Manager to join our team. As the Facility Operations Manager, you’ll lead a team of people that support Moog’s East Aurora campus including the Aircraft, Corporate, Industrial and Space and Defense Operating Groups.

 

Scope of opportunity:

  • Oversight of all facilities functions including: Building and Grounds, Electrical Maintenance, Hydraulic Maintenance, HVAC Maintenance, Machine Repair, Plant Cleaning and Plant Engineering.
  • Leadership of approximately 165 employees and area supervisors.
  • Forecasting and executing on short and long-range capital and expense budgets totaling over $15M.
  • Moog’s East Aurora campus spans 330 acres and includes 1.15M square feet of buildings across over 40 owned and leased buildings.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and administrative direction for all activities associated with ongoing facility services across all Operating Groups on the East Aurora campus.
  • Work collaboratively with all Operating Groups across campus to ensure alignment of priorities and the delivery of high-level service.
  • Accountable for the talent development, performance management and workforce planning for facilities functions.
  • Responsible for communication and alignment of strategy within facilities functions.
  • Drive core process improvements across facilities functions.
  • Managing major campus projects from conception through completion for new construction, utility installations and modifications.
  • Availability to support off-shift work, occasionally as required.

 

Here's what you'll need to be considered for this exciting opportunity:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline required
  • Minimum ten years of experience in facility operations, including 3 years supervisory management experience
  • Professional Engineering License and registration is desirable
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of facility engineering, construction, and equipment maintenance is necessary in order to discern problems, analyze data, exercise judgement and determine solutions, in conjunction with a high degree of technical, conceptual, communicative, organizational, leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership ability with strong communication skills.
  • Experience leading and sustaining change
  • This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
