Site Lead, Test Equipment Fulfillment

Moog is looking for a Site Lead for our Test Equipment (TE) Fulfillment group.  In this role, you will supervise a multi-disciplinary team of TE Engineers and Technicians and will be responsible for the team’s work quality, employee development, process adherence and efficiency.  The Test Equipment Fulfillment group handles new test equipment product development from formal verification through deployment to the end user and also includes project engineering and Engineering Development Labs.  This position is located at our aerospace facility in Torrance, CA.

As a Test Equipment Site Lead, your activities will include…

  • Proposal contribution
  • Make priority calls on staff assignments
  • Monitor and review schedule and cost adherence, problem resolution and disposition
  • Document review and correction
  • Alignment and coordination with counterpart managers in other groups
  • Receipt of material and assembly
  • Engineering Lab safety criteria adherence
  • Staff training, addressing employee needs and morale
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Process development in collaboration with global peers. 
  • This role will also require a significant percentage of time as an individual contributor to the work above.  
  • Periodic activities will include: capacity planning, department budgets, resource assignments, staff communication meetings, employee performance discussions, and time card and vacation approvals.

Basic Qualifications to be considered… 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years of development engineering professional work experience
  • Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

Preferred Qualifications Include… 

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in the development of products or test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical systems
  • Managerial experience supervising a team of Engineers
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
