Moog Medical Device Group (MMDG) designs, manufactures, and distributes industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through investment in research & development and relying on our vast expertise, we design and develop advanced infusion systems that improve medication safety, optimize application performance and reduce medical expenses.

 

Job Purpose:

The IT Business Partner provides leadership, vision, and direction to the IT department. Be responsible for all aspects of information technology management and governance for all Moog Medical Device sites, and serve as the primary liaison between the business and IT to provide technical solutions to solve business requirements.  Have a direct reporting to the Medical Group General Manager and dotted line to the Industrial Group IT Director.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trusted relationships with senior leadership and executives to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Develop and carry forward the IT vision.
  • Facilitate the implementation & usage of IT Services from both Industrial Group and Enterprise IT to ensure business needs are represented, shaped and prioritized, with regards to both projects and IT services.
  • Align the IT strategy to the business strategy, ensuring that any Industrial and Enterprise IT changes and plans are effectively shared and represented.
  • Rationalize technology roadmaps to business needs, helping to identify value in information & technology investments as well as identifying gaps in IT capabilities and IT infrastructure to support of business strategies.
  • Use a Balanced Scorecard or other similar metric reporting method to track and review performance of business initiatives and identify ways of increasing value.
  • Identify industry trends and digital advances and how they could relate to business opportunities and trends.
  • Facilitate site-based activities (regionally) including compliance audits and the IT budget process (where applicable).
  • Represent the Medical Group with key vendors align business goals with strategic relationships.
  • Write and revise site information technology plans, procedures and policies as required to maintain compliance.
  • Serve as project manager for information technology projects.
  • Develop and report out on IT departments KPIs.
  • Ensure department projects are completed within budget and on time, either directly or through delegation to staff.
  • Manage warranties, terms, costs, maintenance and conditions for technology equipment.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a technology environment with relationship management responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Computer Science preferred
  • 5+ years managing projects, budgets and an IT team using project management tools, such as: Agile, PMI, MS-Project, etc.
  • Knowledge of the information technology requirements in 21 CFR Part 820, 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 13485.

  • Ability to explain concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders in a variety of topics
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems, formulate options, and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance technical and interpersonal skills of team-based staff and evaluate performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, change-oriented environment
  • Must be able to work with users at all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented with a sense of urgency for user satisfaction.
  • Possess a positive, professional, empathetic and customer-focused demeanor.
  • Able to succeed in compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence.
  • Significant experience setting and managing senior stakeholder expectations.
