We are currently looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our dynamic team.

As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Moog, you would be responsible for but not limited to:


  • Operational Excellence – Ensuring that Moog has 24x7 cyber security operations that monitor and prevent attack to the extent reasonable. Balances security and user experience.
  • Budget Management- Manages global cyber security budget.
  • Managing - Working through direct reports, is responsible for creating an environment in line with our culture that supports individuals in their role, as well as their development within the company.

    • Delegate operational decision-making to responsible individuals (or teams) and hold them accountable for delivering the desired and agreed-upon objectives in a timely fashion.
    • Ensure talent management within IT to support development of IT maturity and succession planning.
    • Set clear expectations (objectives) for reports, and provide relevant and timely feedback on performance. 
    • Regularly communicate performance and strategic direction to cyber staff.
    • Participate in IT talent pipeline development across the enterprise, including mentoring
  • Risk Management – Responsible for cyber security risk assessment, and remediation planning and execution.
  • Policies, Regulatory and Compliance – Accountable for achievement of critical security compliance requirements as passed down from the Department of Defense and our defense Customers.
  • Effective Execution – Ensures that implemented security policies and practices have the intended effect.
  • Consulting – Working with innovation and engineering teams across Moog, ensures that cyber security is built into all that we do, including deliverables to our end customers. Provides guidance, consulting, and security services as needed throughout the business to drive Moog’s business performance both internally and externally.
  • Staff Development - Developing and leading a highly effective, results-oriented team of Information Security professionals


A qualified candidate should have the following experience…


  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or related field; with 10 years’ experience in significant, proven and relevant IT and industry roles with at least 3-5 years in senior IT or Cyber leadership roles highly desired.  
  • Experience providing technical guidance to product teams and IT architects related to the design of IT and System architectures with security in mind.  Must be able to guide others towards architecting and engineering secure solutions

    Ability to develop policies and cyber best practices for an organization

  • Ability to communicate with and influence high level technical professionals across IT, engineering, and other technical roles.
  • Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively within a multicultural geographically dispersed environment.
  • Significant oversight of large and complex IT services and projects.
  • Ability to build and develop a strong team.
  • Must demonstrate persuasive skills with senior Group and Corporate leadership in order to accomplish objectives.
  • Exercises substantial control over the continuity and effectiveness of IT systems by planning, monitoring, coordinating, and supporting all required activities.
  • Travel to different operational areas of the business is necessary
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with the flexibility/ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects that produce enterprise-wide result
  • Strong oral/written/persuasive communication skills and a demonstrated ability to appropriately make decisions while keeping stakeholders informed
  • Influencing, problem solving, innovation and collaboration skills are essential
  • High personal standards of integrity and professionalism.
