Associate Software Engineer (Entry-level) - Flight Controls

Moog has an immediate opening for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Flight Controls Software Engineering team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the development of airborne software for flight-critical actuation systems. Our development teams provide training and mentoring to elevate the awareness and expertise of motivated entry-level software engineers for developing flight critical software (i.e. software that MUST be rigorously developed and tested).  If you have C Programming experience; a Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math); and have the patience and diligence to work on flight critical software, we encourage you to apply.  This position is located at our aerospace facility in Torrance, CA.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will…
  • Develop software for airborne flight critical actuation systems.

  • Work as part of a team of Software Engineers to design, code, test and document flight software in accordance with FAA Guidelines for Airborne Software (DO-178C)

At a minimum, you need to meet these Basic Qualifications…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math

  • Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

Preferred Qualifications Include… 
  • Prefer Experience with Matlab and Simulink

  • C Programming experience
  • Experience with dSpace and/or Labview ecosystems

  • Good technical writing skills
