Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for an Associate Principal Engineer to serve as the senior technical representative with Moog’s New Space customers and drive the team to the technical, schedule and cost objectives for the program.  You will perform the necessary analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control hardware used on aerospace applications.

Day- to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects through ownership of milestone deliverables.
  • Drive the project team to meet specified schedules.
  • Oversight on systems level design and execution for actuation, controller, and battery solutions.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel.
  • Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.

Here are the skills you’ll bring with you…

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of six years of engineering experience; or a MS Degree in Engineering plus three years of engineering experience.
  • Self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills.
  • Seasoned knowledge of electrical and mechanical hardware designs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with other Engineers, Production Staff, and Management.
